-Introduction
-
-The computer will show examples of forming the sum of pairs or sets of decimal numbers. The computer will show that the numbers need to be expanded into a place table. The computer will remind the student that 10/10 = 1 unit, 10/100 = 1/10 and 100/1000 = 1/100. This means the pattern of regrouping works the same with decimals as it does with whole numbers. Therefore, the procedures which the student already knows for adding and subtracting whole numbers also applies to the addition and subtraction of decimals.
